REQUIREMENTS
MANDATORY FOR ALL
All employyes of Happy Haven OSHC are required to obtain the following, without exception, prior to commencement of employment:
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) current for at least 6 months.
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate. Both the Fundamentals and Masterclass courses are required.
EDUCATORS: CSE LEVEL 1
This is an Educator who does not possess a Certificate III or a Diploma in Children’s Services or an equivalent qualification.
EDUCATORS: CSE LEVEL 3
This is an Educator who has completed AQF Certificate III in Children’s Services or an equivalent qualification. Examples of approved Certificate III include:
- Cert III in Education Support
- Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Cert III in Children’s Services
- Cert III in School Based Education Support
- Cert III in OSHC
- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability)
- Cert III in Community Services
- Cert III in Sport and Recreation
- Cert IV in Education Support
- Cert IV in School Age Education and Care
- Cert IV in School Based Education Support
- Cert IV in Community Services
- Cert IV in Youth Work
- Cert IV in Allied Health
EDUCATORS: CSE LEVEL 4
This is an Educator who has completed a Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent listed on ACECQA’s approved qualifications list – https://www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications/nqf-approved#qwsac
In addition to the above requirements, educators at this level must also hold a valid First Aid and CPR Training certification before commencing. The approved training codes for OSHC are as follows:
- First Aid – HLTAID004 or HLTAID012
- CPR – HLTAID001 or HLTAID009
SERVICE MANAGERS
Service Managers lead the OSHC service, ensuring quality care and program delivery while maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
In order to provide guidance in developing and implementing engaging children’s programs and educational activities, we require the following:
- Possess a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or a degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (or be willing to enrol in study in an approved qualification)
- Alternative qualification accepted for applicants recognised by ACECQA as Qualified in South Australia
- Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework
- Minimum 12 months of experience in the Education and Care sector in Australia
- Willingness to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid Police Check
- Hold or be willing to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certificate
- First aid training (HLTAID004 or HLTAID012)
- CPR training (HLTAID001 or HLTAID009)
