WHO WE ARE

TRUSTED OUT OF SCHOOL CARE

BY SOUTH AUSTRALIAN FAMILIES

Established in 2015, Happy Haven OSHC is a 100% South Australian and family owned company providing care to children in over 50 schools. Just as we have expanded as a local family business, Happy Haven OSHC progresses and adapts to meet the changing circumstances of the families and children we take under our wing.

OUR VISION

We Exist To Make People’s Lives Better.

A simple statement to make, but an incredibly difficult one to achieve. We feel there is no more important Vision in life than to leave the world a better place than you found it. We cannot fix every problem, but we can improve the lives of the children we care for, the families and school communities we support, the educators and staff who work alongside us, and the charitable and local organisations we align with. We have the potential and ability to expand this to any person on the planet through our charity efforts, employment engagements and future service offering initiatives. We cannot be all things to all people, but every interaction is an opportunity to brighten improve someone’s day, solve a problem and put a smile on their face.

OUR MISSION

To Do More and Strive for Continuous Improvement.

If Happy Haven OSHC is to be successful in making people’s lives better, we need to do more. We need to care for more children, offer more services, in more locations, and in an environment that is more fun, safe, engaging and where more learning happens. Caring for more children means we are supporting more families and communities and creating more job and career opportunities for our staff and the communities we operate in. Happy Haven OSHC needs to continually improve the quality, viability, and sustainability of our services. This will result in all our stakeholders having improved understanding of the benefits of our service offering, an improved sense of transparency and awareness of our organisations operations and priorities, and overall ongoing improved satisfaction with their interactions with Happy Haven OSHC.

OUR VALUES

We believe in the importance of incremental and ongoing positive change, and always being open to learning and innovation. We will be brave in our efforts to make the world a better place, make difficult but important decisions, and explore new ways of doing things.

We believe in the importance of people before profits and supporting and helping others with an emphasis on having fun. We will demonstrate selflessness and a responsible community conscience by offering services and assistance to as many people as possible, and by investing in initiatives to improve outcomes, even when it reduces our profitability.

We believe in the importance of withstanding difficult situations and recovering to draw strength from adversity. Happy Haven OSHC will demonstrate resilience through changing economic, regulatory, cultural, and environmental circumstances. We will embrace feedback, change and new challenges.

We believe in the importance of saying what we mean and meaning what we say. We want all stakeholders to trust that we will deliver on what we say we will deliver. We want to build trust through demonstrating our professionalism, knowledge, and expertise. We want all stakeholders to trust us to care about and foster their safety – physical, emotional, psychosocial, and financial.

We believe in the importance of giving due regard to the rights, expectations and aspirations of ourselves and others. We will consider all relevant points of view and consult others to elicit feedback and make informed decisions. We will be accountable for our actions and decisions and always act in a manner that balances the best interests of children, families, staff, Happy Haven OSHC, and the broader community. We strive to be respected as industry leaders and subject matter experts. We demonstrate respect by showing pride in our work and achievements, and by acknowledging and celebrating our successes.
